 Providence Health System in Alaska received the Work/Family Award for the large non-profit category. This marks the second consecutive win for Providence and the forth win in five years. The award recognizes and honors local businesses that have family-friendly policies such as flexibility, time off, financial assistance, education, insurance, and dependent care services.
Providence received kudos for establishing an employer sponsored childcare center, creating a peace of mind for their families who participate in the program. "They really have established themselves as an employer of choice and employees gravitate toward that," said Candace Winkler, executive director of Child Care Connection.
