Since the Sisters of Providence arrived in Alaska in 1902, Providence has served those in need with compassion and respect, consistently adhering to a high standard of excellence.
Continuing that tradition today is a priority for everyone in our organization. We truly believe we have a moral obligation to our patients and residents to provide high quality, safe health care at a reasonable cost.
A shared Mission
As People of Providence we reveal God’s love for all, especially the poor and vulnerable, through our compassionate service.
We are guided by our Core Values:
Our mission calls us to live the core values of respect, justice, compassion, excellence, and stewardship. In Alaska, we strive to improve the well-being of the many communities we serve. Working in partnership with health care providers throughout the state, we provide a lifetime of care for Alaskans of all ages.
