Volunteer Opportunities at Providence

 

Providence volunteers display a wide variety of experiences and interests, from holding babies or helping in the emergency department, to providing pet therapy to hospitalized children. With a wide variety of volunteer positions to choose from, volunteers are sure to find a rewarding volunteer experience.

Medical Center Volunteers

Community Outreach Volunteers
Through a network of trained volunteers, this program provides the little things that make a big difference in the lives of those we serve.

No One Dies Alone 
A volunteer companion program dedicated to providing caring, bedside companionship for dying patients who are truly alone and at the end of life.

Pet Therapy
Volunteer handler-animal teams are scheduled in the Children’s Hospital of Providence every Wednesday of the month. These visits are done in a group with invited patients, parents and siblings.
