I have been traveling from Anchorage to Kodiak periodically for the last 20+ years to do teaching on critical care topics, especially ACLS. I have always been impressed with the quality of your personnel. I want to tell you about one person in particular. Darla Merritt of the education department is an exceptional educator and coordinator. She always goes over and above when assisting me and the members of my class. I never have to worry that precourse information was not distributed or that I will have any problems with classrooms or equipment. Darla checks with me frequently to assess my needs and then goes out of her way to fulfill those needs. Darla is professional yet friendly. She exemplifies the core values of the Providence system and is a wonderful role model. Darla makes my trips to Kodiak ones that I cherish and hope to continue for a long time. I hope you appreciate Darla as much as I do. She is a jewel and should be treated as such.

During my visit to the emergency room this past weekend, I was greeted by one of the emergency room staff by the name of Cathy. She met me in the waiting room and cared for me during my stay. I have to say that in all my experiences in your emergency room, both with my child and myself, I have never felt more care for and felt the true compassion form an RN providing care. Cathy was soft spoken, understanding, and quite frankly took more time care of me than other providers. She was never hurried, condescending, or unengaged.
I wanted to be sure to let you know how very impressed I was and to say, again, that I have never been so well taken care of from one of your emergency room RN’s.
