Walmart, Sam’s Club provide $500 shopping card for necessities Media Event:
Who: Landon Rogers, age 6, resident of Kenai, and The Children’s Hospital at Providence patient; Marty Howard, Walmart store manager; Taylor Gilmour, donor relations officer, Providence Health & Services Alaska. What: Together, The Children’s Hospital at Providence and Walmart/Sam’s Club will introduce Landon Rogers as Alaska’s champion. Landon will be surprised with the opportunity to use a $500 shopping card at Walmart to prepare for his trips to Orlando and Washington D.C. A champion, a child with a remarkable medical story, is chosen from each state. The champions serve as ambassadors for the 17 million children who are treated at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals each year.
