Cardiac Rehabilitation

Cardiovascular Risk Reduction
It’s important to recognize that coronary artery disease is a chronic, progressive disease. This means that if left to its own, it will continue to develop blockages in your arteries. However, there are various means to help arrest the progression of the disease.

The Heart Center at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett offers you several programs proven to help in the recovery process and promote heart healthy lifestyles. Through a customized cardiac rehabilitation program, patients can greatly reduce their chances for an additional cardiac occurrence, often by as much as 25 - 60 percent.

Our rehabilitation and prevention programs are precisely tailored to your condition, with the ultimate goal of reducing the risk of a future cardiac event. Each program features one-to-one and group therapy. You attend two or three times per week for 2-12 weeks, with several follow-up visits over the next two years. You can also attend monthly support groups for as long as you wish.

A referral from your physician is usually required; many health insurance plans provide full or partial coverage.
