Assisted Living Philosophy of the Mount's Hand in Hand Assisted Living Program
The cornerstones of the Hand in Hand Assisted Living Program are self-empowerment, negotiation, and collaboration:
-
Self-empowerment of older adults in establishing a supportive home environment while receiving assistance in the daily activities of life;
-
Negotiation between each individual, their family and friends, their healthcare providers and our staff to determine the level of support which best fits the individual's needs and preferences; and
- Collaboration of all involved to weave a solid yet fluid network of support.
Services
This network of support can include help with daily routines such as medications, laundry, dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, housekeeping, personal safety checks and emergency care.
The assisted living staff includes licensed nurses, specially trained resident assistants and a social worker. Residents enjoy a complete recreation and activity program offering a variety of outings and classes including trips for shopping and to visit places of interest around the greater Puget Sound area as well as classes in yoga, tai chi, nutrition, music and art, just to name a few.
