Alcohol and drug use can change your life and the lives of those around you. Providence Centralia Hospital's Addictions Recovery Center is an outpatient chemical dependency treatment provider for adults, youth and families.Family

We are hospital-based and certified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Washington State Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse.  Medicare and most insurance plans cover program costs. Additional resources are available for those who need financial support for their treatment process.

Confidentiality
The Addictions Recovery program is strictly confidential. Special admitting and follow-up procedures are designed with patient privacy in mind.

Referrals and Admission
Individuals may self-refer to treatment. You also may be referred by your physician, a mental health professional or friend, although a referral is not necessary for admission into the program.

Diagnostic Evaluation
Assessing the unique needs of each individual is the first step in receiving treatment. Our specially trained staff will complete an assessment and develop an individualized treatment plan. The results of the assessment and treatment recommendations are discussed with the individual. Any reports or evaluations needed by the court, attorneys and referring agencies will be provided.

Our Staff
The Addictions Recovery staff has specific training and education in the treatment of adults and youth experiencing problems with alcohol or other drugs. Our multi-disciplinary approach encompasses the skills of medical, mental health and chemical dependency professionals.

Our Program
We offer different levels of treatment, with enrollment in each depending on the severity of an individual's addiction and present involvement in the recovery process.

  • Addresses chemical abuse issues
  • Is an early intervention to prevent further chemical use problems
  • Meets once per week for the first 8-12 weeks

Intensive Outpatient

  • Addresses chemical dependency issues
  • Meets three times per week for the first 8-12 weeks
  • Individual sessions

Ongoing Recovery

  • Meets once per week
  • Addresses the continuing recovery process following either intensive outpatient or inpatient treatment
  • Provides relapse prevention education and awareness
  • Monthly monitoring
  • Required for DUI programs
  • Meets once monthly

Family Involvement
Family participation historically leads to more positive outcomes for individuals who participate in a structured treatment program. Our family group sessions offer a unique opportunity to get support, information and feedback in a positive learning environment.

DUI Services
The Addictions Recovery Center offers individualized help for those who have been arrested or convicted of a DUI or physical control violation. The state mandates specific lengths of treatment for differing diagnoses. Individuals with a DUI also may be eligible for deferred prosecution through the courts. There are specific criteria for deferred prosecution that should be discussed with an attorney.

Services for Youth

The Addictions Recovery Center is an outpatient chemical dependency treatment provider for youth.TeensWe are hospital-based and certified by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Washington State Division of Alcohol and Substance Abuse. Medicare and most insurance plans cover program costs. Additional resources are available for those who need financial support for their treatment process.

Confidentiality
The Addictions Recovery program is strictly confidential. Special admitting and follow-up procedures are designed with patient privacy in mind.

Our Staff
The Addictions Recovery Center staff has specific training and education in the treatment of youth experiencing problems with alcohol and other drugs. Our multidisciplinary approach encompasses the skills of medical, mental health and chemical dependency professionals.

Referrals and Admission
Individuals may self-refer to treatment if they are more than 13 years of age. With all adolescent referrals, family involvement is recommended and is an integral part of the treatment process. A professional referral is suggested, although not necessary for admission into program.

Determining the Need for Help
Assessing the unique needs of each youth is the first step in receiving treatment. Our specially trained staff members will perform an assessment with the adolescent. We strongly encourage family involvement in the process. Family history and situation, along with other relevant information, is gathered during this time. The clinical staff uses the assessment findings to develop an individualized treatment plan. The results of the assessment and treatment recommendations are discussed with the adolescent and, whenever possible, with the parents.

Our Program
We offer three levels of treatment, with enrollment in each depending on the severity of the adolescent's addiction and present involvement in the recovery process.

Youth Outpatient
The youth outpatient program is designed to address chemical abuse issues and is an early intervention to prevent further chemical use problems. This group meets once per week in a small group setting so the individuals will experience a therapeutic climate where it is safe to honestly assess their choices and consequences.

Youth Intensive
The youth intensive outpatient program is designed to address chemical dependency issues. In this program, the group meets three times per week for 12 weeks. One of the groups is a multi-family session, with emphasis on family recovery because the disease of chemical dependency affects the entire family. Individual and family sessions are conducted also.

Ongoing Recovery
This group meets once per week and is focused on continuing the recovery process following either intensive outpatient or inpatient treatment. Issues covered are relapse prevention, goal identification and setting, and learning to have fun in sobriety.

Family Involvement
Family participation historically leads to more positive outcomes for adolescents who participate in a structured treatment program. The multi-family group sessions offer a unique opportunity to get support and feedback from both adolescents and other parents. This comprehensive approach includes addressing the educational needs of both adolescents and family members. Within a positive learning environment, we provide current information on issues facing adolescents. Interaction and feedback is encouraged.
