CT Scan - MRI - Nuclear Medicine

 Spiral CT Scanner
The Spiral CT Scanner works by rotating around the patients as they lie on the couch and move through the rotating CT tube. During the test, the Spiral CT obtains a continuous volume of data that's stored in computer memory. This means that interpreting radiologists can manipulate the data to narrow in on a specific area of the body without calling the patient back for more testing.

bulletBenefits to the Patient:
  • Less examination time and waiting for the patient.
  • Less radiation and exposure to the patient and overall less discomfort during testing.
  • Faster, more accurate test results to the attending physician and their patient.
  • High-tech, million-dollar diagnostic equipment available in our area.

bulletDiagnostic Capabilities:
  • Able to perform Bone Densitometry to evaluate Osteoporosis.
  • Provides another means to investigate Pulmonary Emboli, Appendicitis and Reval Cozic.
  • Able to perform 3-D Reconstruction's to evaluate position of bone fragments.
  • The spiral CT provides better imaging to assist doctor diagnosis & potentially save lives.

State-Of-The-Art MRI
bullet Less Confining for the Patient - A patient-friendly short bore helps reduce claustrophobia.

bullet Optimal Resolution - 1.5 Tesla magnet produces superior image quality. Increases orthopedic anatomical detail.

bullet Advanced Capabilities - The diffusion imaging aids in neurological diagnosis including angiograms and arthrograms.

Nuclear Medicine - Spect Scanner

The Single Emission Computed Tomography Scanner (SPECT) and the new software enables physicians to target anatomy of patients, such as a wrist or heart, in 3-D. The three dimensional image provides a true-to-life color form on the computer screen. The detailed resolution helps physicians better identify a problem for a focused treatment. The scanner takes between 32 and 128 images that combine to make a 360 degree rotating image. It takes about 30 to 50 seconds for an image to be processed, making the entire procedure for the patient last about an hour.

bulletBenefits to the Patient:
  • Enables patient to receive accurate diagnosis and medical care locally.
  • The open bed reduces claustrophobia and is comfortable for patients.
  • Patient can see the image being created on the computer screen during the procedure.

bulletDiagnostic Capabilities:

  • Performs cardiac studies for perfusion and ejection fractions as well as wall motion.
  • Evaluates gallbladder ejection fractions and more.
  • Provides detailed images for more accurate diagnosis and treatment.
