Emergency Medicine

bullet The Care You Expect When It's Least Expected
Thousands of people in our area need emergency health care every year. At Providence Newberg, we're proud of our team of board-certified and emergency-trained doctors who provide compassionate, high quality care that's coupled with outstanding service. Our emergency department has privacy, comfort and the latest technology in each of our 15 rooms.

bullet Training and Certification
Along with having highly skilled doctors, the majority of our nurses have specialized training and certification in emergency medicine. "Board certification for our staff means our nurses are high achievers and are exceptionally committed to their profession," explains Jeff Hanson, R.N., manager of emergency services. "It also proves their dedication to providing excellent patient care to our community." What this means for the more than 20,000 people treated in Providence Newberg's Emergency Department each year is that those caring for them are passionate about what they do.

bullet New Emergency Department Physicians and Providers
We also are equally proud to welcome a new team of emergency physicians to the medical center. This summer, seven new doctors and three nurse practitioners began providing emergency care at Providence Newberg. "Our new team of providers is absolutely exceptional," said Larry Bowe, chief executive. "This group represents the best in emergency medicine - the wealth of experience they bring and their dedication to outstanding customer service are the very best."
