Dr. Bui understands that having surgery can be unsettling for most people and that an important aspect of her surgical practice is to educate and communicate with her patients about their treatment. "When a patient requires surgery, they very often become anxious," she says. "I find that if people understand their illness and what to expect during their course of care, their anxiety level decreases."
After graduating from Stanford University, Dr. Bui earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She completed her internship and residency at the University of California, Davis - East Bay Department of Surgery in Oakland. Dr. Bui is board certified in general surgery.
Away from her medical practice, Dr. Bui's interests include ballroom dancing, hiking, camping, skiing and traveling. |
